Oklahoma City Thunder starters Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace will miss significant time and potentially the entire 2026-27 NBA season following severe injuries sustained on Sunday night. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Williams suffered a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula, while Wallace sustained a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both players require surgery.
The injuries occurred during Oklahoma City's 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Williams was stretchered off late in the game after landing badly, while Wallace exited in the first quarter after colliding with an Isaiah Jackson screen. The extended absences deliver a major setback to the Western Conference contenders.
