Real Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Guler has reportedly rejected interest from Manchester City and Arsenal after both clubs initiated transfer talks. According to reports from TEAMtalk, both Premier League teams approached the Turkish international's entourage during the summer to explore a potential move, but Guler offered no encouragement.
Guler is reported to have verbally agreed to a new permanent contract with Real Madrid following the arrival of manager Jose Mourinho. Having started six of Real Madrid's first ten games this season, Guler chose to remain in Spain rather than join Enzo Maresca's squad at Manchester City.
