Colby Donovan says he is determined to kick on after signing a new five-year contract with Celtic.

Celtic right-back Colby Donovan has signed a new five-year contract extension, committing his future to the Scottish Premiership club until 2031. The 20-year-old academy graduate expressed his delight with the deal after establishing himself in the first team and earning a call-up to the senior Scotland squad. Manager Martin O'Neill praised Donovan's maturity and resilience, describing the contract extension as fantastic news for the club.
Donovan's long-term commitment comes amid renewed injury concerns for fellow right-back Alistair Johnston. The Canadian international suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem during a 2-1 win at Easter Road, lasting only 21 minutes in his comeback match. Donovan, who made 28 appearances in all competitions last season, has regularly stepped in as a capable replacement in defense.
