The Minnesota Vikings made room to add versatile veteran Jihad Ward by cutting ties with a young offensive lineman.

The Minnesota Vikings announced on October 23 that they have signed outside linebacker Jihad Ward to their practice squad and released offensive tackle Tristan Leigh. Ward, who is 32 years old, returns to Minnesota for his third stint with the team after briefly joining the New York Giants in late September.
Ward offers positional versatility along the front for defensive coordinator Brian Flores, having recorded 24.0 career sacks across 138 NFL appearances. Leigh, an undrafted rookie offensive lineman standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 312 pounds, was released from the practice squad to create the roster spot.
