Everton's Merlin Rohl has been speaking about the adjustments when moving from midfield to right-back…

Everton's 24-year-old German player Merlin Rohl has opened up about adapting to the right-back role under manager David Moyes. Originally signed from Freiburg as a central midfielder, Rohl has recently been utilized down the right flank, including starts at both right-back and right wing.
Rohl explained that he enjoys the right-back position and sees significant personal potential there, despite the challenges of facing world-class opponents. He noted that playing on the flank requires making deeper runs, thinking differently in possession, and maintaining strict defensive awareness along the touchline.
