Goaltender Michal Postava secured a victory in his first career NHL start as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in a shootout on Monday night. The 24-year-old made 25 saves during regulation and stopped three attempts in the shootout. Lucas Raymond netted the decisive shootout goal and recorded two assists, while Viktor Arvidsson, Emmitt Finnie, and Dylan Larkin supplied the regulation goals for Detroit.
Edmonton led three separate times with goals from Vasily Podkolzin, Isaac Howard, and Colton Dach before Larkin tied the game with 1:17 remaining.
