Suns’ Devin Booker Gets Honest On 3 Point Night: “Shoot Over Three People?”

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker addressed his low-scoring performance after posting just three points and seven assists following a 43-point outing. Questioned about his shot volume and defensive coverage, Booker asked rhetorically whether he should shoot over three defenders, emphasizing the importance of finding better opportunities rather than forcing difficult attempts against heavy defensive attention.

Booker explained that staying aggressive involves moving, driving into gaps, and creating chances for teammates against schemes like a 2-3 zone defense. Anthony G Halkias II argues that while Phoenix must find cleaner scoring opportunities for Booker, a player of his caliber should never finish a game with only three points.
