Chelsea are growing increasingly confident of completing a permanent transfer for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in the January transfer window. Xabi Alonso's side has made the 23-year-old their top midfield target following Enzo Fernandez's summer departure to Manchester City. Fresh talks are underway, with Bournemouth valuing the midfielder at £100 million.
Bournemouth previously resisted summer bids but have softened their stance as Scott has yet to sign a proposed contract extension. While Liverpool also holds an interest, Chelsea is aggressively pursuing the deal, viewing Monaco's Lamine Camara and Roma's Manu Kone as alternative options if the move falls through.
