According to TVA Nouvelles journalist Pierre-Olivier Zappa, Poirier shared his openness to examining a potential acquisition following his appearance in a Stade Saputo luxury suite during CF Montreal's 2-0 defeat to Nashville SC on Saturday.

Poirier's reported interest arrives amid growing fan frustration with the Saputo family's ownership after the club missed the MLS playoffs in 2026. While the club reportedly explored sale options with American investors in late 2024, the Saputo family has consistently maintained their commitment to the franchise, and no formal sale has been announced.
