Celtic and Rangers face an anxious wait for decisions on appeals against sanctions after disorder at Ibrox.
Celtic and Rangers face an extended wait for decisions regarding their appeals against sanctions handed down following fan disorder at Ibrox. An independent appeal hearing commenced on Monday, with deliberations continuing into Tuesday before written reasons and public outcomes are issued to both clubs.
The original penalties followed a Scottish Cup quarter-final in March that ended 0-0 before Celtic won via a penalty shootout. The Scottish Football Association issued full stadium closures for each club's next home match in the tournament, ordered £100,000 in compensation to the away teams, and handed down suspended sanctions after supporters invaded the pitch.
