Tottenham star earns 8.41/10 rating to make WhoScored Team of the Week

Tottenham Hotspur forward Mathys Tel has been named in WhoScored's Matchweek Eight Team of the Week following his standout performance in a 2-0 win against Chelsea. Tel received an 8.41 rating, the fourth-highest of the week, after scoring a late solo goal from outside the box in the 87th minute. The Frenchman's display also earned him a spot in BBC Sport pundit Troy Deeney's Team of the Week.

The strike marked Tel's first goal of the season and helped seal a rare victory for Spurs at Stamford Bridge. Following an earlier Mike Penders own goal and a red card for Cole Palmer, Tel solidified the result. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi praised Tel's talent and impact alongside fellow winger Mohammed Kudus, while noting the young forward still needs to develop composure on the pitch.
