Peter Reid shares his Everton desire for this season despite ‘Catch-22 situation’

Former Everton midfielder Peter Reid has expressed his desire for the club to pursue silverware this season despite concerns over a depleted squad. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Reid acknowledged the risk of fixture congestion with David Moyes managing just 18 outfield first-team players. However, Reid emphasized that he would love to see Everton win a cup at Wembley for their supporters, especially after not lifting a trophy since 1995.

Everton face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup fourth round ahead of another meeting in the Premier League. Reid also discussed his new ambassadorial role for the Football Safety App, which helps supporters and players report stadium and online abuse.
