UFC legend Israel Adesanya has questioned former foe Alex Pereira for opting to remain in the heavyweight division.

Former UFC champion Israel Adesanya has questioned Alex Pereira's decision to continue fighting in the heavyweight division. Pereira is scheduled to face Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 following a loss to Ciryl Gane, despite suggesting he might return to light heavyweight if he is defeated.
Speaking on his PRECISION podcast with Demetrious Johnson, Adesanya argued that 205 pounds is Pereira's ideal weight class. Adesanya stated that Pereira never lost his light heavyweight belt inside the Octagon and could immediately contend for the title if he dropped back down.
