Vincent Kompany is making progress after collapsing at training last week, but Bayern Munich are yet to set a date for the manager’s return.
Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks confirmed that manager Vincent Kompany is making progress after collapsing during a reserve-team training session on Friday. The 40-year-old was hospitalized after the incident, which followed an illness involving a virus, and he is expected to remain sidelined for several weeks with no set return date.
Danks visited Kompany and reported that he is in good spirits while taking time to rest ahead of a busy fixture run. The health scare coincided with Bayern striker Harry Kane winning the Ballon d'Or on Monday, creating what Danks described as an emotional week of highs and lows for the squad.
