Celtic’s appeal against the punishment ordering their next home Scottish Cup tie to be played behind closed doors is scheduled to be heard today, Monday, October 26. The Scottish FA’s disciplinary updates page lists today’s date for the appellate tribunal…

Celtic's appellate tribunal hearing regarding their Scottish Cup stadium ban and fine is scheduled to take place today. The Scottish FA previously ruled that supporters would be barred from Celtic's next home match in the competition, alongside a mandatory £100,000 compensation payment to their opponents. Rangers also lodged an appeal against punishments stemming from the same incident, with their hearing set for the same day.
The sanctions follow pitch disorder at Ibrox after a Scottish Cup quarter-final penalty shootout victory on March 8, which resulted in 43 arrests. Celtic labeled the penalty disproportionate, arguing that venue safety responsibilities differed since they were the visiting club. The ruling also includes an additional suspended stadium closure and fine through the 2027/28 season.
