Jay Mingi featured 29 times for Pompey during a two year stay.

Former Portsmouth midfielder Jay Mingi has been frozen out at Stockport County as his exit from the League One club nears. Manager Jim McNulty has omitted the versatile operator from the team's 22-man EFL squad, leaving him without a squad number or any competitive minutes this season, while discussions continue regarding the cancellation of his expiring contract.
Mingi previously departed Portsmouth in 2023 under contentious circumstances after turning down a contract extension following an injury-shortened campaign under John Mousinho. He subsequently spent time with Colchester United before moving to Stockport County in 2024, where he has made only 15 appearances.
