Nottingham Forest defender Nicolo Savona has returned to training on the grass after a nine-month absence due to a major knee injury. The 23-year-old received a special welcome from teammates and coaching staff at the City Ground, who formed a gauntlet for him to run through alongside a round of applause on Tuesday, as shared in a video by the club.
Savona joined Nottingham Forest from Juventus in a €15.5m deal last summer and established himself as a regular starter. However, his campaign was interrupted by knee surgery following his last match in January, a 1-0 Europa League defeat against Braga.
