Nikola Jokić doubled down on his comments that home fans who boo the team are “not welcome.”

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić reiterated on Monday that supporters who boo their own team at home are 'not real fans' and are not welcome at games. Jokić stood by his postgame statements after Denver suffered a 134-114 home loss to the Golden State Warriors, having initially voiced his frustration after fans booed during a 23-point deficit in Saturday's home opener against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Denver eventually rallied to win Saturday's contest 141-135 in overtime behind Jokić's 35-point triple-double and Jamal Murray's 42 points. The Nuggets have started the season 1-2, while Jokić remains unsigned beyond his current contract expiring after the 2026-27 season, despite expressing his intention to sign an extension next year.
