India wicketkeeper-batter returns to WBBL, but not with Melbourne Stars…

Brisbane Heat have signed India international wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia to complete their roster for the upcoming WBBL|12 season. Bhatia replaces former captain Jess Jonassen, who was ruled out of the tournament due to a hip injury. The 25-year-old will link up with the squad ahead of their second match against Sydney Thunder on Sunday and remain available for the rest of the campaign.
Bhatia previously played six matches for Melbourne Stars and stands as the sole Indian player in this season's competition. She joins England leg-spinner Sarah Glenn and Ireland all-rounder Orla Prendergast as Brisbane's third overseas player under head coach Mark Sorrell and new captain Georgia Redmayne.
