Minnesota Twins reliever Jeff Hoffman is expected to be ready for spring training after undergoing elbow surgery.

Minnesota Twins reliever Jeff Hoffman underwent right arthroscopic elbow surgery, which included a debridement procedure and the removal of a bone chip. According to a report from Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Hoffman is scheduled to begin a throwing program in eight weeks and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2027 season.
Hoffman arrived in Minnesota from the Toronto Blue Jays at the trade deadline and posted a 2.50 ERA over 18 innings with 27 strikeouts for the Twins. Jackson Kruse writes for Puckett's Pond that Hoffman appears to be the top candidate to serve as the team's primary closer in 2027.
