Dele Alli delivers emotional message to ex-Tottenham teammate after Harry Kane Ballon d’Or win

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli shared a heartfelt message praising former teammate Harry Kane after Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or. Dele posted photos of Kane holding the trophy on Instagram, writing that the honor was deserved and expressing pride in his close friend. Kane defeated Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal in London to become the first English winner of the award since 2001.

Dele and Kane played together for seven seasons in North London from 2015 to 2022, reaching the 2019 Champions League final under Mauricio Pochettino. Dele praised the tireless work ethic Kane demonstrated in training throughout his career. Kane, who left Tottenham in 2023 as the club's record goalscorer with 280 goals, won the prestigious award after scoring 73 goals across 65 appearances last season.
