NBA fans were in shambles after Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Jaren Jackson Jr's new knee injury on Tuesday.

Utah Jazz forward Jaren Jackson Jr. has suffered a torn right MCL and will miss at least six to eight weeks, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The injury prompted strong reactions from NBA fans across social media. Fortunately for Utah, Jackson does not require surgery after playing in the team's first four games of the 2026-27 season.
Jackson's setback adds to Utah's growing injury list, which also includes center Jusuf Nurkic and forward Lauri Markkanen. KSL Sports noted that Jackson's absence will open up rotational minutes and offensive shot attempts for younger teammates like Keyonte George, Ace Bailey, and Darryn Peterson.
