The Spurs shot 60 percent and hit 13 threes in a half against the Kings, seven points shy of the best first half in franchise history.

The San Antonio Spurs dominated the Sacramento Kings in a 130-103 victory at the Frost Bank Center. Air Alamo argues that San Antonio could consistently avoid slumps if they played Sacramento weekly, pointing to an explosive first half where the Spurs built an 80-54 lead while shooting 30-of-50 from the field. Victor Wembanyama led the charge by scoring 29 points on 14-of-21 shooting.
Julian Champagnie contributed significantly by scoring 24 points and sinking eight three-pointers in the first half alone. Writer Jahlil Williams noted that the Spurs hit their stride after adjusting their lineup to surround Wembanyama with two guards and floor spacers, including Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle, effectively overwhelming the winless Kings.
