Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made his New Jersey Devils debut on Tuesday night, starting in net against the Dallas Stars. The appearance came four days after the 33-year-old was traded from the Winnipeg Jets, following a suspension for failing to report to training camp. Prior to Tuesday's matchup, Hellebuyck had not played in an NHL game since April 13.

The three-time Vezina Trophy winner spent 11 seasons with Winnipeg before the trade. Hellebuyck, who has five seasons remaining on a seven-year contract with an $8.5 million annual cap hit, started opposite Dallas goaltender Casey DeSmith after completing only one practice and a morning skate with New Jersey.
