DEREK McINNES insists he felt guilty about leaving Hearts in the summer - with the Rangers boss fully expecting a hostile reception when he returns to Tynecastle tomorrow night.

Rangers manager Derek McInnes admitted he felt guilty about leaving Hearts during the summer as he prepares to face a hostile reception on his return to Tynecastle. McInnes led Hearts to an 80-point season before narrowly missing out on the league title to Celtic on the final day, departing shortly after striker Lawrence Shankland also moved to Ibrox.
McInnes acknowledged that fans will likely give him a rough reception, which he accepts after walking away following the painful title conclusion. Ahead of the fixture, Rangers sit four points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic, while injured duo Shankland and Cammy Devlin are expected to return in early December.
