Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh endorsed criticism of New Zealand fielder Glenn Phillips during the third T20I in Wellington. Harbhajan reposted a social media comment labeling Phillips a "performative fielder" after the player attempted an acrobatic diving catch off Abhishek Sharma that commentator Simon Doull deemed completely unnecessary.
The incident took place at Hnry Stadium as India chased New Zealand's target of 199. Led by Abhishek Sharma's 113 off 38 balls, India secured a six-wicket victory with 40 balls remaining, finishing on 199/4 in 13.2 overs.
