Three-time Asian Para Games gold medalist Neeraj Yadav died at age 42 after being found at a flat on Tuesday night. The Indian para-athlete allegedly died by suicide after suspected poison consumption, and a postmortem was arranged at Delhi's GTB Hospital.
Diagnosed with post-polio paralysis at age seven, Yadav previously played wheelchair tennis before shifting to para-athletics in 2015. He earned international javelin and discus titles between 2018 and 2023, though he subsequently received a provisional suspension from the National Anti-Doping Agency after testing positive for stanozolol.
