Enzo Maresca does not have a big squad at Manchester City and has sent five of his players on holiday…

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has left five senior players out of the squad for Wednesday's Carabao Cup tie against Brighton. Gianluigi Donnarumma, Elliot Anderson, Erling Haaland, Josko Gvardiol, and Ruben Dias have been granted a three-day holiday to rest both physically and mentally.
According to Simon Bajkowski, the absences open up squad opportunities for fringe and academy players, fulfilling Maresca's pledges to grant senior stars rest and give youth regular minutes. Youngsters such as Ryan McAidoo, Floyd Samba, and Kaden Braithwaite could see involvement alongside senior figures like Marcus Bettinelli and Matheus Nunes.
