Fowler and Dach are making it increasingly difficult for Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis to take them out of the lineup.

Jacob Fowler and Kirby Dach have both impressed for the Montreal Canadiens, creating tough roster decisions for head coach Martin St. Louis. Fowler made 46 saves in a 2-0 shutout victory against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night, marking the most saves in a shutout by a rookie goaltender in Canadiens history. Dach also delivered an impactful performance alongside linemates Florian Xhekaj and Jake Evans.
Fowler has improved to a 6-1-0 record with a 1.54 goals against average since being recalled following Sam Montembeault's injury. Meanwhile, Dach's elevated play complicates upcoming lineup choices as Montreal prepares for the eventual returns of injured forwards Nick Suzuki and Ivan Demidov.
