The Ibrox and Celtic Park clubs have both appealed the sanctions handed down to them by the Scottish Football Association…

Celtic and Rangers are awaiting verdicts as an independent appeal hearing began on Monday, October 26, regarding sanctions from a March Scottish Cup tie. Following fan disorder at Ibrox after Celtic's penalty shootout win, both clubs received full stadium closures for their next home Scottish Cup ties, £100,000 compensation fines, and an additional suspended ban.
Deliberations are scheduled to continue Tuesday before written decisions and reasons are officially communicated. The Scottish Football Association penalties originated from an independent dossier compiled by Mark Blackbourne, with Celtic previously labeling their punishment as disproportionate.
