Smith's signature has long been rumoured and now the Bulls have confirmed the capture of the versatile double World Cup winner.

Springbok back-rower Kwagga Smith has signed a three-year contract with the Pretoria-based Bulls. The move reunites the 33-year-old double World Cup winner with Bulls coach Johan Ackermann, who previously coached Smith during their time together at the Lions. Smith brings extensive international experience to the squad, having earned 63 caps for South Africa.
Smith spent the past eight years in Japan playing for Yamaha Júbilo, now the Shizuoka Blue Revs. He tore his ACL and meniscus in May but has been cleared to return to action by the end of December, with plans to resume playing early next year.
