Lucas Bergvall: Tottenham put on alert as as top European club ‘renew’ transfer interest in long-term target

Barcelona have reportedly renewed their interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall amid his struggles for regular playing time. Despite signing a new long-term contract with Spurs following a rejected summer bid from Newcastle United, the 20-year-old Sweden international has made only two Premier League starts this season. European clubs, including Juventus and Napoli, are also reportedly monitoring his situation.

According to reports, Juventus are particularly keen on securing a potential loan move for Bergvall during the January transfer window. However, Ben Sully notes that a move to Hansi Flick's Barcelona appears unlikely unless current midfielders depart, given the strong competition for positions within their squad.
