Liverpool consider hijacking move for £50.3m-rated Barcelona target as Spanish giants reportedly plan winter move.
Liverpool and Real Madrid are reportedly poised to rival Barcelona for Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch. The 20-year-old center-back has emerged as a primary target for Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, but Stuttgart is expected to demand around €60m (£50.3m) for a permanent transfer.
Liverpool is reportedly willing to meet Stuttgart's valuation as part of long-term succession planning for Virgil van Dijk under manager Andoni Iraola. Barcelona could test Stuttgart's resolve in January, but financial constraints may allow rivals to hijack the deal.
