Paris Saint-Germain tracked a La Liga defender last summer and could revisit their interest, but a new contract has ended his affordable release clause.

Paris Saint-Germain could potentially revive their pursuit of Celta Vigo defender Javi Rodriguez during the upcoming winter transfer window. The 23-year-old Spaniard previously drew interest from the French club last summer, with manager Luis Enrique reportedly viewing his versatility as a strong fit for PSG's defensive needs.
Rodriguez has impressed this season, registering three goals and an assist in nine matches while contributing to La Liga's stingiest defense. Although he signed a permanent contract extension running until June 2030, raising his previous £34m (€40m) release clause, PSG may still monitor his situation.
