Paul Scholes urges Manchester United to take action against Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez after recent controversies and underwhelming performances.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged the club to offload Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez following recent controversies. Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football, Scholes labelled Fernandes' public criticism of manager Michael Carrick's tactics as "unforgivable." He also criticized Martinez for openly targeting football director Jason Wilcox, stating that Wilcox's role is not Martinez's business.
Both players are in the final year of their contracts at Old Trafford and have endured difficult starts to the 2026/27 season. Fernandes was benched for United's 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth after questioning tactics following a 4-1 loss to Como, while Martinez previously issued an apology after criticizing Wilcox following a 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid.
