Detroit's new expansion franchise, Motor City Golf Club, will make its TGL debut on December 27, 2026, leading off the league's third season against Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf Club. The match will air at 1 p.m. Eastern on ESPN as the opening contest of a doubleheader at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club will face defending champion Los Angeles Golf Club later that afternoon.
Headlined by Brooks Koepka, Motor City Golf Club also features Si Woo Kim, Jackson Koivun, Jake Knapp, and Bud Cauley. The team will play four regular-season matches before the March 2027 playoffs. Motor City is TGL's seventh team and first expansion club, with the same ownership group fielding a women's team in the newly established WTGL.
