Arsenal fans, we might have been wrong about Viktor Gyokeres. Since the international break, he's adapted his role to suit Arsenal in a way nobody expected.
Writer Kian Long argues that Viktor Gyokeres has successfully adapted into an unglamorous false nine role for Arsenal. Following a slow start before the international break, the Swedish forward has reportedly transformed into a vital link-up player who elevates his teammates in patient build-up play.
Long highlights Gyokeres' recent contributions, including an assist for Declan Rice against Bayern Munich and setting up Ezri Konsa against Everton. The writer believes Gyokeres' tactical shift provides crucial competition and relief for an apparently fatigued Kai Havertz.
