Three outs away from the first title in franchise history, the Brewers turned to former Red Sox pitcher Shane Drohan, who promptly blew the save -- and the earlier heroics from teammate David Hamilton.

Writer Brandon Glick argues that former Boston Red Sox players David Hamilton and Shane Drohan spared Boston from a painful World Series narrative during Game 4. While Hamilton hit a game-tying fifth-inning home run for the Milwaukee Brewers against the Tampa Bay Rays, he was later substituted, and Drohan surrendered a walk-off loss in the 12th inning to narrow Milwaukee's series lead to 3-1.
Glick notes that Hamilton and Drohan were both acquired alongside Kyle Harrison in the trade that sent Caleb Durbin to Boston. Despite the Brewers' trio generating more fWAR during the regular season, Glick suggests the late-game World Series struggles soften the blow for Boston.
