Sam Steel is likely to return to the lineup on Thursday, while David Perron still isn’t ready to play yet.

Dallas Stars defenseman Kyle Capobianco will miss at least a week due to a lower-body injury, head coach Glen Gulutzan announced. Capobianco was hurt following a hit from Timo Meier early in the third period of the Stars' 5-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils and did not return. The team is currently awaiting MRI results to establish a definitive recovery timeline.
Capobianco is expected to miss at least three games, prompting the Stars to likely recall a defenseman from the AHL's Texas Stars. In other roster updates, forward Sam Steel is likely to return Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens, while winger David Perron remains unready as he continues getting up to speed.
