The former Derby County coach took charge of the Owls last night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Cambridge United at Hillsborough…

Former Derby County coach Matt Hamshaw has stated he wants to remain at Sheffield Wednesday "one hundred per cent" following the dismissal of manager Henrik Pedersen. Hamshaw acknowledged that while he hopes to stay as a club appointment, a newly appointed manager might choose to bring in their own backroom staff.
Pedersen was dismissed following a weekend defeat to Doncaster Rovers, a decision Hamshaw admitted was surprising and unexpected. Former Stockport County manager Dave Challinor has emerged as the leading candidate for the vacant managerial role at Hillsborough.
