Carlos Tevez has explained the reason for joining Manchester City after spending two years at Old Trafford…

Carlos Tevez has revealed he joined Manchester City in 2009 as an act of revenge against Sir Alex Ferguson after Manchester United failed to fulfill transfer promises. Speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents channel, the Argentine forward explained that Ferguson had assured him United would make his two-year loan move permanent, even after signing Dimitar Berbatov. However, Tevez felt Ferguson broke his word by delaying the deal.
Tevez stated that he felt pushed aside and benched by Ferguson during his second season to lower his valuation, which led to his frustration. Consequently, Tevez turned down other interest, including from Real Madrid, to complete a permanent £47 million transfer to cross-town rivals Manchester City, where he went on to score 73 goals across four seasons.
