Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman is heading back to injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's Battle of Alberta against the Calgary Flames.

Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman has been placed back on injured reserve with a neck injury ahead of Wednesday's game against the Calgary Flames. Head coach Mike Babcock stated that Hyman is dealing with a stiff neck after hitting his head on the glass during Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to Detroit. The team is taking a cautious approach, and Hyman will be sidelined for at least one week.
Babcock confirmed that the neck issue is unrelated to the upper-body injury that kept Hyman out earlier in the season. In positive roster news, forward Jason Dickinson was activated from injured reserve after missing six games, while defenseman Mattias Ekholm is expected to return soon from a concussion.
