The Houston Texans have officially placed wide receiver Jaylin Noel on injured reserve, ending his 2026 season due to a turf toe injury, according to a report from Aaron Wilson. To fill his vacant spot on the active roster, Houston claimed running back Emari Demercado off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys.
Noel, a 2025 third-round selection, recorded 19 receptions for 331 yards and two touchdowns across seven games this season before the injury. Demercado joins the Texans after brief stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cowboys during the 2026 campaign.
