Red Bull New York will be NYCFC's final regular-season opponent at Yankee Stadium before the club moves into its new 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in the summer.

New York City FC will play rival New York Red Bulls on May 8, 2027, in its final regular-season match at Yankee Stadium. Major League Soccer revealed the fixture as part of the schedule for an abbreviated 14-game sprint season. Yankee Stadium has served as NYCFC's primary home venue since joining the league in 2015.
The sprint season bridges the gap before MLS shifts to a summer-to-spring calendar for the 2027-28 campaign. NYCFC is scheduled to officially open its new 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium, Etihad Park in Queens, on July 17, 2027.
