Tim Connelly met with reporters Wednesday and finally shed some light on what's wrong with Anthony Edwards' right knee.

The Minnesota Timberwolves face uncertainty regarding Anthony Edwards' exact return timeline ahead of his scheduled arthroscopic right knee procedure. Timberwolves president of basketball operations Tim Connelly confirmed that Tuesday's imaging revealed an immediate issue requiring surgery, which is expected to sideline Edwards for at least two months. Despite the absence, Connelly stressed that the team is not concerned about any long-term effects on the star guard's health.
Edwards had started the season strongly, averaging 33.3 points per game through his first four games, including a 47-point performance against Cleveland. Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reported that Edwards is projected to return in early to mid-January. In his absence, Minnesota is expected to start Ayo Dosunmu alongside contributors Jaden McDaniels, LaMelo Ball, Terrance Shannon Jr., and Jonathan Kuminga.
