ST. PETERSBURG -- Cooper Pratt connected, the Milwaukee faithful on hand at Tropicana Field erupted and FOX play-by-play man Joe Davis began a familiar call. “Hitting a high drive! Deep left field!” Davis said. “Get up, get up, gone!”

FOX broadcaster Joe Davis paid tribute to the late Hall of Fame Milwaukee Brewers announcer Bob Uecker during Game 4 of the World Series. When Milwaukee's Cooper Pratt hit a go-ahead home run in the 12th inning against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, Davis honored Uecker with his famous home run phrase, calling: "Get up, get up, gone!"
Davis explained that he grew up studying Uecker and admired both his comedic genius and exceptional play-by-play craftsmanship. The broadcaster also recalled how Uecker warmly welcomed him when Davis was a 23-year-old minor-league broadcaster practicing in an empty booth at Miller Park.
