A recent article at The Athletic revealed that Cody Glass was worried about getting traded when it was revealed that Connor Hellebuyck was getting traded to New Jersey.

A report by Peter Baugh in The Athletic revealed that New Jersey Devils forward Cody Glass worried he might be traded when news broke of the team acquiring goalie Connor Hellebuyck from the Winnipeg Jets. Glass reportedly saw a television notification about the major trade while eating a meal and immediately checked his phone to see if he was included in the package.
The trade sent Dawson Mercer, Nick Bjugstad, and Nico Daws to the Jets. According to the report, Devils general manager Sunny Mehta met individually with the departing players beforehand, while Glass remained in New Jersey to continue his regular role on the Devils' fourth line.
