The New York Islanders did not undergo a ton of roster turnover between the end of the 2025-26 season and the start of the 2026-27 season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets placed defenseman Carson Soucy on waivers on Wednesday afternoon. Soucy, who previously played for the divisional rival New York Islanders, is expected to report to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters if he clears waivers.
The 32-year-old blueliner joined Columbus ahead of the 2026-27 season on a professional tryout before signing a one-year, $1.15 million contract. Soucy has struggled early in the campaign, recording one assist and a minus-five rating across seven appearances.
