The Philadelphia Eagles have officially placed running back Dameon Pierce on injured reserve. Pierce becomes the fourth Eagles running back to land on the injured list this month, joining a heavily depleted offensive backfield that has also dealt with injuries to quarterback Jalen Hurts, Tank Bigsby, and Will Shipley.
Pierce initially joined Philadelphia following injuries to Saquon Barkley and Bigsby, serving as the primary rusher until Barkley returned. To take Pierce's spot on the 53-man active roster, the Eagles promoted running back Jaydon Blue from their practice squad.
