John Mitchell knew that the Red Roses' 41-match unbeaten run was going to end at some point. It was just a matter of when.

England Women's head coach John Mitchell has urged the Red Roses not to let recent results define them as they aim to end a two-match losing streak against the USA Women’s Eagles in New Jersey. Following consecutive defeats to Canada that halted their previous 41-match unbeaten run, England enter their final WXV Global Series fixture focused on long-term development.
Mitchell made six changes to his starting lineup for Friday's match at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Holly Aitchison and Flo Robinson will partner at half-back, while Mackenzie Carson, Maud Muir, Tatyana Heard, and Claudia Moloney-MacDonald also enter the starting side to face a USA team on a five-match winning run.
